Are you and your dog not speaking the same language? When you ask him to sit does he jump in your face? When you ask him to lie down does he grab a toy to play? Everyone wants a well behaved dog but not everyone knows how to get this. Dogs and people don't communicate in the same language and it is our job as people to understand how a dog learns and how to show them what we expect of them.

Wendy's Wags offers fun and informative training for you and your dog. We will help you and your dog get on the same page to establish a more peaceful and balanced relationship. Training offered ranges from puppy socialization, to basic obedience, to behavior modification to advanced obedience.

PATIENCE TIME CONSISTENCY

Wendy's Wags specializes in puppy socialization. There is a critical socialization period for all dogs between the ages of 8 weeks to 12 weeks when many activities need to take place for a dog to become a well adjusted adult dog.  Your puppy needs to be exposed to everything they will possibly be exposed to as an adult in these early four weeks of their development.

The more situations your puppy can experience the better acclimated they will be to the everyday occurances of life; vet visits, car rides, other dogs, thunder, sirens, baths, etc. As your dog matures, he/she may be fearful of some of these things at first, but they will quickly remember that they have heard or seen this before and they will recover back to their relaxed state much more quickly than if they have never been exposed to the situation before.
